This summer my posts will be a bit here and there with more mom time and less me time. For this one I'm co-opting an EXCELLENT set of reading lists for Kindergarten through eighth graders. (I find that school lists are often heavy on older titles, while public librarians have more time and funding to read and recommend the latest and greatest. I love classic titles too, but we need to give our kids new books as well, as there are so many quality titles and emerging writers out there. Off of soapbox.) I've checked out all of the recommendations, and they are really strong. Should be, as the list comes from the Association for Library Service to Children, which is a division of the American Library Association, the rocking org/advocacy group to which most all library people belong. Hope you enjoy!
