Best of 2014 Blog Hop: Parenting, Education and Crafts

Happy 2015, everyone! I am thrilled to participate in a link-up of best of 2014 posts to start the new year off with a bang. Organized by Mama Smiles, a thoughtful blog dedicated to raising global kids, this blog hop allows each of us to display our most popular or favorite post of 2014.

I'm very new to blogging and chose it as an outlet once I traded library land for full-time stay-at-home-momhood. Although I love the freedom that not working outside the home brings, as well as the ability to spend more time with my kids and focus on my family, I do very much miss recommending books to readers in a library setting. I keep my hand in and my skills up both by volunteering at my kids' school media center and by writing here.

Last year, my post on what to read after Jeff Kinney's Diary of a Wimpy Kid series went viral on Pinterest. This was so exciting for me, and really encouraged me to keep blogging. It continues to be my most popular post, and I'm so happy that people are getting use out of it. I keep updating it as I learn of new titles so that it stays relevant and useful. Thanks to all of you who have read and used it to find Wimpy Kid read-alikes!

Check out the links below to find out about the posts that were super successful for my fellow bloggers. They're divided into three categories, Education, Crafts, and Parenting. Hope you enjoy seeing posts that other readers resonated with in 2014. And feel free to add your own favorite post of the past year, too! You can also check out all the posts on Pinterest

2. Link up any Kid Lit related post. This can be a link to a children’s book review, a discussion about children’s literature/literacy, or a post on a recently-read children’s book or one that you love from your childhood.

* Don't link directly to your blog, it must be a specific post.*

* For Authors, we prefer you to link to your blog if you have one. Please link unique posts each time ~ no repeats please. *

* Make sure you include an image relevant to the POST (e.g., book cover), not your blog button or photo of yourself.*
